Oneida Aquino
Lawrence .- Strange as it may seem to many, it is a School Committee member who has initiated a personal investigation into the legal residence of elected District D councilor, Oneida Aquino. Rumors that Aquino does not reside in that district have increased in the recent months before last election.

Aquino defeated veteran councilor Nicholas Kolofoles by a margin of 274 votes.

Samuel Reyes, a District D School Committee member, said he has heard many rumors that Aquino's legal residence is in District C, and suggested that part of the problem for which the City is in a "paralysis" is due to "dirty politics ". "If she does not live in this district (District D), why would she want to run for my district?" asked Reyes.

Sammy Reyes admitted he will launch his candidacy for District D councilor in 2011, facing Oneida Aquino.

Sammy, who started the controversial investigation into the misuse of the School Department's printing press to produce political materials, which focuses on his own brother Israel Reyes, is actively investigating Aquino's residence.

"When I go to work in the morning at 5:30 I've notice that her car is never parked at 332 (Broadway Street) and also in 2008 she voted in the presidential election as a resident of 32-D Highland Street in District C, said the school official.

If the investigation initiated by Reyes shows that Aquino does not reside in District D she would have to resign and Kolofoles would stay in place for at least another two years.
